Elder Law focuses on assisting older clients and their families with their needs such as planning for long term care, which includes Medicare, Medicaid and Veterans Benefits, and estate planning, which includes living trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney, living wills and health care surrogates. Elder Law often involves advising the older client on the legal mechanisms available to best manage their financial affairs as they age. This may be through obtaining financial assistance through government public benefit programs, preparing the appropriate legal document or simply by paying bills for a client, all services of which our office offers.
